Width guide
In the United States, shoes generally have different widths. Ankle Boots widths range from AAA, which is the slimmest size, to EEEE, which is the widest size. To make sure you wear comfortable shoes, it's important that your ankle boots are the correct width.
Here you will find shoe width charts and information on how to measure your foot to find the right width for you.
How to measure the width of your foot
If you can't visit one of our stores, you can measure the width of your foot yourself. Take off your socks and make sure to measure both feet, one may be wider than the other.
- Use a flexible tape measure and wrap it around the widest part of your foot. Don't over-tighten the tape.
- Put your foot on the ground and step as you normally do while standing.
- Mark on the tape measure how many millimeters your foot is.
- Find the width of your foot in the following tables.
If you don't have a tape measure you can use a thread. Simply mark the thread and then use a ruler to find the width of your foot.

Width D is medium for men and wide for women. E widths are considered wide for men and extra wide for women. EE width ankle boots are extra wide for both men and women, and tend to be harder to find for women.

What is the difference between the width of men and the width of women?
Men tend to have wider feet, so the "average" width for a man is a "D." Women's feet tend to be smaller and slimmer, so the "average" width for a woman is a "B." A "D" is considered a wide ankle boots for a woman.
